The obverse presents a close-up portrait of the Statue of Liberty wearing her seven-rayed crown, surrounded by 13 stars representing the original colonies. Below the portrait are the inscriptions COPPER, .999 FINE, and ONE AVDP OZ.
The reverse is considerably more elaborate than most one-ounce copper bars, featuring a spread-winged American eagle and shield surrounded by ornate scrollwork, stars and patriotic detailing.
